WENGER FORMING EXTRUDERS

Wenger Forming Extruders are low-shear sanitary and thermally efficient extruders designed for the production of many delicately formed and shaped food products such as snack pellets and half-products, high protein cereal beads (which may be later rolled into flakes), dense textured vegetable-protein meat analogs, and semi-moist petfoods.

Jacketed barrels and hollow flight screws permit either heating or cooling of those products which do not lend themselves to either cooking and or forming in conventional Wenger high and medium shear cooking extruders.
