These desirable pellet characteristics are the effect of the laminar micro-structure and very brief exposure to high process temperatures. Compared with traditional industry pelletizers, expanders, expander + pelletizers, and extruders, this versatile new process can produce pasteurized feeds, expand the range of raw ingredients that may be utilized in your rations, broaden your product menu, and production flexibility at significant savings in capital equipment cost, feed costs, machine maintenance, and production floor space.
Pellets in the 2 to 4 mm size range can eliminate the requirements for crumbling larger pellets, minimizing the attendant fines and waste resulting from this traditional post-pelleting operation. Due to the HT/MT™ process, there is minimal lysine or vitamin loss. Operating costs per metric tonne of finished feed will be less than the cost associated with the conventional expander/pelleting process.

The Wenger Universal Pellet/Cooker ® eliminates the requirement for an expander and pellet press for producing pelleted, high density, pasteurized feeds. The entire process may be controlled through Wenger's Automated Process Management System.
