Extruder Die/Knife

Rigid knife blades for use in a wide variety of applications

• Often used during R&D
• Many different shapes available - insert profile determined by product

• Replaces worn or cracked die holders.  Same dimensions as OEM part

• Hinges allow die assembly to be moved away from extruder barrel head when needed

• Enables faster change-over, as knife and die can be pre-assembled

• Used in co-extrusion applications only

• Helpful for hard-to-cut, and sticky product
• Commonly used for small diameter product such as aquatic feed

• Typically used in Pet Food production
• Longer service life than regular blades

• Blade count must be specified when ordering

• Specialty die for marbling effect

• Includes gear pumps to control flow if split die

• For very small diameter aquatic feed
• Designed to increase throughput

• Used with TSP (textured soy protein) product

• Different sizes and Part Numbers for different extruder models
• 4-18 blades
• Blades can be omitted for production, but blade spacing must be equidistant
• EXAMPLE:  12 blade assembly can accomodate 1,2,3,4,6, or 12 blades
